We would like to share some recent activities the Forum has been engaged in as we work towards producing a Neighbourhood Plan for Prestwich Village!
Firstly, at this week’s monthly board meeting, PVNF members approved the Housing Needs Assessment (HNA) report that has been commissioned by the Forum and undertaken by our Technical consultant AECOM.
The report will form part of the Neighbourhood Plan and inform policies in the Local Plan, to be produced by Bury Council, in respect to the size, type and tenure of housing needed in the area in the period up to 2039 for different groups in the community. The report is attached and available to view on our Facebook Group page as well as this website.
Secondly, we are making great progress with the second of our technical packages, the Design Code for Prestwich Village. Also being produced in collaboration with AECOM, this will be presented in draft form to Bury Council later this month. This will form part of the final Neighbourhood Plan.
